Back in the 90's I had a little Sony system like this and loved it. When I started earning a good living I got rid of it and snobbily spent thousands of dollars on receivers, cables, speakers, amps and all kinds of crap thinking I would get a more refined sound. Guess what I never did. It was never balanced - always way too heavy on bass and not worth the hassle. After crying in a pile of wires and remotes and missing my music for YEARS, I donated all of it to Goodwill and I'm happy to be back to basics with this system. I have it hooked up to my TV listening to a Christmas concert and it sounds better than any of the three home theatre systems I tried. It just sounds simple and rich like my ear expects things to sound. PS It displays the artist and song title on FM radio. That's another thing I missed - solid FM radio reception. Wo hoo! Just like old times!
