Before purchasing this unit, I had read hundreds of reviews. Multiple reviews had said the speaker wire that came with the unit was cheap and not worth using, so I had purchased 16 gauge wire like many had recommended. However, I think 16 gauge is a little over kill and it would work fine with 18. The only thing I did not like about the unit, was the speakers only had a screw mount attachment on the back of them to mount them on the wall, therefore they did not work with my speaker mounts I had purchased.
